Hi Hayo,

thank you for the excellent workshop! I learned a lot, and had tons of fun  :)

Here are some photos I took during the workshop.

Awesome, Pedro! Glad you liked the workshop  :)

  • Barn Owl portrait: Good! I like it. Well balanced and in focus!
  • Eagle Owl: Great flight action. Wings look sharper than the eyes and beak (could also be due to the resizing), but for the rest well done. Composition looks good too, though perhaps a bit close to the top and maybe positioning the owl a bit more to the left would make it even better?
  • Barn Owl landing: Really nice. Yes, the wings are clipped, but her I don't mind at all, perhaps it's even better that way. The form of the trees complement the landing of the owl somehow. Nice!
  • Burrowing owl: This is a perfect example of when to break the rule to not look down on the animal; here it works very well indeed! Pity the tree trunk is too bright (over exposed?), though on the other hand that gives some weird, surreal feel to the image.

Again, all comments are personal and you should feel free to disagree  :P

Thanks for the feedback!

About the tree trunk on the last photo, I must say that I had another where the tree trunk was not so bright, but I thought it was a bit distracting (too much texture, bigger than the bird) so I went for this one :-)
